Renovation Update: June 28

Monday, June 28, 2021

Our NRTomorrow project is moving right along. The back stairwell is now completely open to the main floor. Our office built-ins have been saved and are stored in the religious school classrooms awaiting their re-installment. The former library has been gutted and large black square has been painted on the floor where the elevator will be located. All the hard work has now shifted to the social hall/lower lever. A small backhoe has been brought in to aid in the digging of the elevator pit.

Photos will scroll automatically, or you can use the arrows (< >) below the image to explore the gallery.

Rabbi Levinsky Sermon: May 1

Tonight, we dedicate our new Torah covers. What exactly does dedication mean in the Jewish tradition? You may be surprised, but the Hebrew word for “dedication” is Chanukah. In Judaism, it marks a beginning. The rededication of the Temple after it was desecrated by the Greeks in the Chanukkah story. The dedication of a home, Chanukat HaBayit. […]
