9th/10th Graders: Explore Jewish views of contemporary Issues in an informal setting
Confirmation is one of the great innovations of Reform Judaism. At The New Reform Temple, it is the most important goal of our Marion and Henry Bloch Religious School program. Whereas many congregations experience Post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah dropout, 90% of our students continue on through the 10th grade. In the 9th and 10th grade, students meet in an informal living room setting to discuss the Jewish view of contemporary issues. Students can join the Confirmation program without prior attendance at the synagogue religious school. Tom Barnett, our skilled Confirmation teacher, and Rabbi Londy are always available to discuss the program.
