Operation Breakthrough: Non-perishable Food Drive
The mission of Operation Breakthrough is to provide a safe, loving, and educational environment for children in poverty and to empower their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education. The New Reform Temple will be collecting non-perishable food items from November 28 through December 5, 2021 at the Hanukkah Menorah Lighting ceremony at Unity Temple on the Plaza – 707 W. 47th St. Suggested items are pasta, canned spaghetti sauce, rice, boxed mac & cheese, boxed soups and canned goods.…

KC Scholars Volunteers Needed
KC Scholar provides the means – through scholarships, financial incentives to promote college savings, and support services – for low and modest income high school and adult students to 17 regional institutions for those who likely would not have otherwise attended or completed college. NRT members are invited to volunteer in reviewing student scholarship application essays and recommendations. Passover Food Drive Now – March 29
Join us in ensuring that everyone in our Jewish community celebrates passover and can enjoy a festive Seder and observe the traditional holiday customs! You can help brighten the holiday for 170 families in greater Kansas City by donating the following kosher-for-Passover foods: matzah ball soup mix, grape juice, matzah, macaroons, and dessert mix. This inspiring organization teaches the history of the Holocaust, applying its lessons to counter indifference, intolerance and genocide. The contest is open to students’ grades 8-12. Put Food in a Car and a Smile on a Face
Unity Southeast Church (3421 E. Meyer Blvd., KCMO) joins with community volunteers and Harvester's to distribute perishable/non-perishable foods and household necessities to families who are less fortunate than ourselves. NRT members are invited to volunteer from 1:30-4:00pm on the 4th Friday of May, June, July and August.
