I’ve been pondering what dogs can teach us about Shabbat lately. Yes, you read that right. What I am doing is creating an imperfect, yet useful, analogy. We have a wonderful reciprocal relationship with dogs. If we give to them, they make our lives better in so many ways. Shabbat works the same way. We have a wonderful reciprocal relationship with shabbat. If we give to Shabbat, it will give back to us in so many ways. That’s what I will preach about tonight.
