Rabbi Levinsky Sermon: August 22
We all want to make good moral choices. Judaism has quite a bit to say on the subject. Biblical texts and rabbinic writings emphasize personal responsibility, affirming that human beings have both the capacity and the duty to make themselves and the world better. This belief in free will underpins the Jewish approach to ethics, repentance, and personal growth. This week, I will offer three perspectives on free will, hoping that it will inspire us to grow as human beings and to recognize our shared duty in this moral journey.
