The Festival of Shavuot Is Coming….
Let Us Celebrate Together!
Shavuot means “weeks”. This Festival celebrates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai to the Jewish people seven weeks after Passover. Every year on Shavuot, we renew our acceptance of God’s gift to the Jews with an evening of study called a “Tikkun L’eil Shavuot”
Please join Rabbi Londy on Thursday night, May 28 at 7:30 pm-8:30 pm on ZOOM for an hour of thought-provoking study.
Topic: The Book of Ruth. . . The Struggle for Lovingkindness in the Face of Death Reading the Book of Ruth is an important tradition of Shavuot. How does Ruth’s struggle against adversity help us confront the difficult struggle and challenges of our time?
After session, we will join in a virtual cheesecake Shavuot Kiddush. (You must bring your own wine and cheesecake.)
Please contact the Temple office for the ZOOM details.
