The New Reform Temple will bring together volunteers, of all ages, to lend their time and love in helping with various projects in the Kansas City community.
This year we will have off-site and at-home activities, along with a donation drive that will help improve the lives of others.
-Off-site activities:
*Mitzvah Garden KC (12320 Nall, located at B’nai Jehudah)—9:30-11:30am.
Join together to harvest and plant vegetables for the fall and enjoy making cider from the fruit trees.

*Manheim Gardens (4229 Forest, Kansas City, Mo.)—10:00am-noon.
Come together to do hands-on work to improve this community garden and public space. They have chickens, beehives, fruit and nut trees, a pollinator garden and greenhouse that all need upkeep, weeding and possibly planting. This is a great opportunity to give back and learn about urban farming.

Music, Singing and Snacks! with Village Shalom residents and our NRT community of all ages, led by Brendan Howard. Location: Fireside Lounge on the first floor.

Bring 2 dozen of your favorite breakfast/brunch foods to share with caregivers, staff, volunteers, residents and friends. Your time together will make everyone very happy!

Take a tour and learn about how the JFS Food Pantry impacts our community. You will be organizing the pantry, assembling kits and cleaning.

*Bake Cookies for Firefighters. Bake your favorite cookies and put them in a small container or bag, with a thank you card for our wonderful helpers. Drop them off at your local Fire Station.

*Show You Care with Underwear and Socks for Operation Breakthrough!
NRT is collecting new underwear and socks for Operation Breakthrough students, size 3 toddler-size 8 (youth medium). This is a loving, safe and nurturing environment for children in poverty. Their vision has always been for all children to have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
A container will be outside the front door, at NRT, for donations, August 18-27.
