Solidarity Shabbat for The People of Israel in This Time of War
Saturday, October 7 on Shabbat and Festival of Shemini Atzeret, a horrific terrorist attack was perpetuated by Hamas terrorists against Israel.
On the deadliest single day for Jews since the Holocaust and the largest attack on Israeli soil since the Yom Kippur War, men, women, and children were slaughtered, tortured, and kidnapped in Israel.
This attack which continues to unfold is pure evil. The goal was not just to kill Israelis but also to kill the Jewish people.
We mourn the brutal murders of our family and friends and offer our unwavering support to all those affected.
We also pray for a Refuah Shelemah—a complete healing– for all the injured, as well as for the safety of the brave men and women of the IDF.
This is a time for mourning and prayer. We invite the entire community to a Solidarity Shabbat at The New Reform Temple on Friday night, October 13 at 6:00 pm.
All decent people must stand united against these murderous actions against the Jewish people. We are touched in the deepest way the support of our non-Jewish neighbors at this tragic time
Our services will still be viewable on our website (watch here), Facebook page (watch here), and our YouTube channel (watch here).
