It’s Official
NRTOMORROW… the renovation project of The New Reform Temple building…has officially commenced. Hours of dedication, creativity and hard work have made this beginning possible. Despite the stormy morning, the NRT community gathered on Sunday, May 16 for a groundbreaking – indoor version. Excitement for the project filled the air. The presence of Mayor Quinton Lucas, and KCMO City Manager Brian Platt was most appreciated. They emphasized how important The New Reform Temple is the foundation of the civic life of Kansas City. Key players in this project were recognized: Dominique Davison of DRAW Architecture, Ryan Warman of Pearce Construction, Tom Isenberg, President, Lynn Poskin, chairperson, and Rabbi Alan Londy. Recognition was given to all the committee members who have worked to make this project a reality. Most importantly, the members of the synagogue who support this project were overjoyed about what the congregation has accomplished together. The restoration will most probably take 4-6 months to complete. The New Reform Temple is excited about this project and about its future as the premier congregation of Kansas City.
