Make the Jewish New Year of 5779 especially meaningful by signing up to write a letter in our Torah that is being restored, and thus fulfilling the 613th and final mitzvah in the Torah. The Torah, originally used by a congregation in what was then Czechoslovakia (and now The Czech Republic), survived the Holocaust and has been in The New Reform Temple’s sacred trust since the Temple’s founding over 50 years ago. The act of helping the scribe to write a letter in the Torah will be a powerful experience that is sure to better connect you with Judaism broadly and the Temple specifically. The experience is designed to be shared by families, which will each enjoy private time with the scribe during which they will learn about the specific letter and the section of the Torah they will be working on. There will also be learning stations that will be edifying. December 9th will be the final opportunity to participate.
