Tom Isenberg and Carol Barnett, long time members and leaders of The New Reform Temple and their brother, John Isenberg, were recently honored as Nonprofit Connect’s 2018 Philanthropists of the Year. Awarded to Kansas Citians who embody the spirit of giving, Tom, Carol and John have excelled in their dedication to service of our community.
They have all donated their time, leadership skills and financial resources to multiple organizations within the community – Tom to Synergy Services, Inc., Carol to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, and John has dedicated countless hours to Jewish Federation.
The New Reform Temple family is especially proud that Tom and Carol have dedicated so much time and love to the congregation. Both have deep roots in the history of the congregation. Tom is the current treasurer at the temple, and Carol is a past president.
The entire community thanks Tom, Carol, and John for being such wonderful models for tzedakah (giving) and gemilut chasadim (deeds of lovingkindness). May they continue their sacred work for many years to come.
