Rabbi Levinsky Sermon: July 10

This Shabbat, I hope we can celebrate together my gratitude for having been your rabbi for one year. It has been a year filled with countless opportunities to put our Jewish values into practice as a community. This week’s Torah portion reminds us how to do exactly that. In the end, Judaism measures us not by what we believe or even what we intend, but by what we do. Shabbat offers an opportunity for reflection, but its purpose is to prepare us for what we do in the week ahead. May this Shabbat inspire acts of justice and compassion that help bring holiness into our world.
